We offer free estimates Monday through Friday 7:30AM-5:30PM and Saturdays by appointment.
We understand the hassle, stress and inconveniences that are associated with an accident. Here at Wenzl’s Collision Center we want to do everything we can to remove these annoyances from the process.
Our Estimating system and technology allows us to complete an accurate and efficient estimate. We work with all Insurance companies and our Estimating system also gives us the ability to come to you if your busy schedule keeps you from getting to us during regular business hours.
The estimating process is the initial step in the repair process, and generally the most important in preparation for a timely repair. We take our time to inspect the entire vehicle, not just the obvious damages, usually in under 30 minutes we have you back on the road, scheduled in with an accurate repair plan.
If the vehicle is “non-drivable” we will have you leave it with us to either do some temporary repairs that get you back on the road until we can complete the rest of the repairs, or we do complete disassembly and start the repairs the day the vehicle arrives.
Auto Body Repair Estimates
If you’ve been involved in an auto accident, your biggest, pressing question is likely how much it will cost you to fix your car, and how long it will take, so that you can safely drive it again. Thankfully it’s possible for you to obtain auto body repair estimates from multiple shops in order to assess the cost of your repairs.
How auto body repair estimates are made
Based on the year, make, and model of your vehicle, along with the specific areas of damage including the severity of the damage, collision repair shops will provide you with a general estimate of what it will cost for them to fix your vehicle. Their estimation is based on a variety of factors including:
Some damage cannot be seen from the outside
Depending on the severity of damage done to your vehicle, your auto body repair estimates may be somewhat accurate, but may not be exactly accurate.
For example, if the damage appears to be only external, and once inside the technician discovers electrical or mechanical damage that could not be seen from the outside, your costs may increase. While technicians are highly trained and skilled individuals, there may be times when they cannot see everything from the outside.
Many experienced technicians, however, can and will inform you of the potential for unseen mechanical and electrical damage that may only be discovered once inside.
Because of the possible variance in cost, you’ll want to take your car to a reputable, experienced collision repair shop like Wenzl's that can do their best to assess your damage from their expert experience. The technicians with the most experience will be able to inform you of potential mechanical issues that may not be visible from the outside. This is not a guarantee, of course, as there is always the possibility of damage that can only be discovered once inside, regardless of the expertise of the technician.

Many insurance claims will require multiple auto body repair estimates from different companies. It’s wise to seek out the best reputable repair shops for all of your estimates, since you don’t want too large of a variance in your estimations.
